DISHMAN CPHI MADRID 2009
The World Convention for Pharmaceutical ingredients (CPhi) is an annual occurring exhibition. Approximately 1500 companies were represented this year, including pharmaceutical & ingredient manufacturers and related service companies. This year it was held in Madrid from 13 through 15 October. It is a major occurrence and was not in the least affected by the current economic situation.

Approximately 1500 companies were represented this year, including pharmaceutical & ingredient manufacturers and related service companies. This year it was held in Madrid from 13 through 15 October. It is a major occurrence and was not in the least affected by the current economic situation.
The CPhi was a great opportunity to present our products and services; for which Dishman Europe this year developed a fantastic new stand. More than 30 meetings were held by the Dishman Netherlands sales and marketing team; whilst many more were held by our other Dishman European colleagues. Many new potential customers visited our stand in addition to our current agents, distributors and customers. Special attention was focused on business opportunities for contract research, product development and contract manufacturing where Dishman Netherlands is lookingfor new business partners. We also presented our new high containment laboratory This facility will focus on the development & production of Vitamin D analogues and high potential API’s.
More attention was given to Vitamin D this year. Its preventive action against bone abnormalities is being taken more seriously. Many medical studies confirm that many people have a shortage of Vitamin D. This strengthens the need for further action by us!
We will be present at the next CPhI exhibition in Paris in 2010.
