Dusogel (gelifier for cosmetics)

Dusogel is a mixture of sterols and lanolin alcohols. The main component is Lanosterol.

This product is able to solidify gels. The concept is to formulate oil into a gel with available products for instance a polymer. This gel can be solidified using Dusogel. The unique properties of Dusogel enable the formulation of a completely transparent and color free stick. This concept can be applied in lipsticks and other stick formulations.

Use
Dusogel is a non ionic, auxiliary emulsifier, that can jellify hydrocarbons. It is used in cosmetic preparations, especially in sticks formulations. Dusogel is the starting material of choice for the synthesis of various tetracyclic triterpenoid derivatives.
