Cholecalciferol (vitamin D3)

The essential nutrient cholecalciferol (vitamin D3) ensures the right concentration of calcium and phosphate in the blood. We produce vitamin D3 from cholesterol.

Vitamin D3 is used to treat and prevent bone growth disorders such as rickets. Nowadays research shows that vitamin D3 can also be of paramount importance to prevent other abnormalities and diseases as well. Several forms of cancer and auto-immune diseases are some of these research areas.

Our crystalline vitamin D3 meets the requirements of the USP, BP and Ph. Eur. 1 gram Cholecalciferol equals 40,000,000 IU of vitamin D3.

Use
Cholecalciferol is used in the manufacture of human and veterinary, vitamin D3 containing, specialties both for oral and parenteral use.

Packing
Packed under nitrogen in tins of 100 grams. (4 x 100 g.)

Storage
The contents are guaranteed until the listed expiry date, provided the product has been stored
in the original, undamaged and unopened packing and at a temperature range of 2-8 oC.

Precautions
This product is very susceptible to oxygen. Do not open the tin unless for immediate use.
