Calcitriol is a vitamin D analog. Vitamin D3 is converted by the human body into this active hormone.

Calcitriol is especially used to prevent and treat osteoporosis or decalcification of bones. The substance is also active against other bone growth disorders such as rickets and specific liver and parathyroid glands abnormalities.

Impurities according to the Monographs in the USP and Ph. Eur. Residual solvents in accordance to the Ph.Eur. and USP (organic volatile impurities).

Practically insoluble in water; freely soluble in alcohol; soluble in ether and fatty oils.

The product is made under cGMP and the production is FDA inspected and approved. DMFs are filed e.g. in the USA.

In glass vials under nitrogen atmosphere.
