Calcifediol is a vitamin D analog. Vitamin D3 is converted by the human body into this compound.

Calcifediol is especially used to prevent and treat osteoporosis or decalcification of bones. The substance is also active against other bone growth disorders such as rickets and specific liver and parathyroid glands abnormalities.

Impurities according to the Monograph in the Ph. Eur. Residual solvents in accordance to the USP (organic volatile impurities) and the Ph. Eur.

Practically insoluble in water; freely soluble in alcohol; soluble in ether and fatty oils.

The product is made under cGMP and the production is FDA inspected and approved. DMFs are filed e.g. in the USA

In glass vials under nitrogen atmosphere.

Store in a dry and dark place at temperatures indicated on the product label.
