Technical Applications
Cholesterol and lanolin alcohols are used by many industries. Dishman supplies several these industries with raw materials and intermediates. Cholesterol NF is used in the production of Vitamin D as well as the production of liquid crystals.
Liquid crystals can be formulated to change their color over a defined range of temperature changes. This concept can for example used in fever strips and thermometers.
Lanolin alcohols are used in the leather industry when raw hides are prepared to be used as leather.
